Women's Cosmetics: Dangerous?
Scientific lab research now show's that women's cosmetics such as L'Oreal Paris lipstick and lip gloss are completely contaminated with lead.
Girls - and perhaps some boys - are very addictive to
cosmetics these days: from shimmery lip gloss to lipstick that stays on
your lips for 24 hrs! But what's the real truth behind these dangerous
things? Besides, there's always a catch phrase on these things! This
time (for those that don't know), women's cosmetics are from 5 - 60%
contaminated with acids, oils, and bad chemicals including lead that
can cause brain damage and many more bad things. Lipsticks and lip
gloss providers like L'Oreal, Cover Girl, and Christian Dior said to be made and consumed from France have from around 0.03 to 0.05 level of lead provided inside.
However, the L'Oreal, Cover Girl, and Christian Dior and many others
all swear to take away the lead and provide lead-free lipstick. As one
lipstick girl, Stacy Malkan said: "It's critical that manufacturers
reformulate their product. It's possible to make lipstick without lead,
all companies should be doing that." Since the level is 0.03 - 0.05,
women that commonly wear make up should beware - using lipstick once or
twice (that is contaminated) is not bad, but using it more than often
is terrible. Linzay Gray says, "Since my mother is so used to wearing
make up, her body is used to it but many, many young girls [in middle
and high school] are wearing make up and trying it on which is terrible
because their bodies and brains are developing." Another lipstick girl
named Hanna Gray (Linzay's sister) says, "Since I used make up once,
I'm never using it again. Once I saw a billboard with a young and
beautiful model licking lipstick and she was saying 'I like the taste
of lipstick.'"
